Nevern Johns is a businessman and entrepreneur with 30 years’ experience in the global marketing and licensing sectors. He established Devonshire Management, the first franchise greeting card distribution business in the UK, in the late 1980s, which grew to over 100 franchisees in the United Kingdom and seven Master Licences overseas. After selling the business, Nevern moved with his family to the United States where he established another publishing business, Appletree Inc, which operated successfully throughout the US and Canada. Having sold out his interest in the company he moved to Florida where he acted as an independent consultant for several years. After returning to the UK on a permanent basis he negotiated license agreements with a number of FMCG companies across Europe. He has a specialist knowledge and extensive hands-on experience of managing international contracts, and in addition brings to the company a lifelong appreciation of movies.
M Barney Battles MA CA
Owner of over 40 SMEs across Europe, US and Australasia, Barney is a qualified chartered accountant with a specialism in digital media, fashion & luxury, recruitment, well-being and marketing communications. He is former Chairman of various PLC companies including Hot Tuna International PLC, Enables IT PLC and Nexus Management PLC. Barney is Managing Partner of The League of Angels Limited, an investor society across Europe offering access to capital for fast growth British based ventures. Co-patron of the Genesis Initiative, a cross party government lobbying group focusing on driving change to support SMEs across Europe.
Gemma Coombes is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and an experienced senior finance professional whose experience includes privately owned businesses, Public Limited Companies and multinationals across multiple industries. Her considerable expertise lies in strategic planning, financial reporting, cost reduction, treasury and cashflow management, streamlining systems and processes, due diligence and project management. Her career has included three years at Renaissance Films where she acted as Finance Director, where she worked closely with the Managing Director on a turnover of £1.8 million. More recently she has worked as Chief Financial Officer at Ocean Sky Group, a European aviation business with a turnover of £75 million, and as Finance Director within the marketing group Loewy with a turnover of £45 million.
Lisa Braund is a successful Marketing, Communication & Events Manager with over 20 years’ experience across film, theatre, television and commerce. Her high profile media event credits include Glamour, MOBO and GQ Awards and the BAFTA’s, as the senior film footage and licensing researcher for over 7 years. She has worked on West End productions including Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera and Miss Saigon.
She has extensive television experience working with companies such as Endemol, BBC, ITV, Silver River Productions and Whizz Kid Entertainment on shows including UK Music Hall of Fame, Your Face Sounds Familiar and the Film and TV Bafta Awards. In 2004 Lisa starred in the history TV series Regency House Party, narrated by Richard E. Grant and produced by Wall to Wall Media Productions.
Whilst working with Cisco her role comprised the organisation of high profile media and business-to-business events, such as establishing a start-up community network in London with Google Campus, Tech Hub and Silicon Roundabout. Over the last several months Lisa has been responsible for hosting several high profile screening events and negotiated successful collaboration arrangements with London Book and Screen Week.
Film Producer Paul Tucker has worked in the feature film industry for over 40 years and has maintained offices at Shepperton Studios for 30 years. He is a Full Voting Member of BAFTA.
Paul was Head of European Production for Mel Gibson’s & Bruce Davey’s Icon Productions for 10 years, producing 10 features. He has worked for all the US Major Studios.

Paul is one of the most respected names working in the film industry and we are most fortunate to have him as a board member of Fashion On Screen.
Laurence Jones has over 25 years’ experience in the television and digital entertainment sectors with an expansive passion across and track record in scripted, non-scripted, live and branded entertainment projects and businesses. After joining from the BBC he became Managing Director of Initial Film and TV, for 10 years overseeing significant business growth and shows such as Big Brother (C5), Total Wipeout (BBC) UK Music Hall of Fame (C4) I Can Cook (CBeebies) and Soccer Aid (ITV) as well as winning awards for Dating in the Dark (Sky) and John Lennon’s Jukebox (ITV). Subsequently, as Commercial Director for Endemol UK and Endemol Shine UK he launched digital games development studio, Good Catch, the ESUK live events division, he oversaw the media group’s YouTube channel strategy and operations, and also led M&A being responsible for the purchase and subsequent operational management of digital animation studio Simons Cat and digital influencer talent agency OP Talent.
More recently, since he left ESUK, he has Executive Produced a global digital car commercial for Lexus, created the documentary How Islam Built The Modern World and helped launch music and fashion studio Post Kulture, with its own proprietary e-commerce platform as well as digital content production and physical fashion product design and manufacture. He is also CEO of The Horror Laboratory Ltd.
John Paul Chapple is a producer and writer who has worked in the film and TV sector for many years. He has held executive positions at Quintet Films, Portman Productions, Global Television, JGTV and Endemol. His production credits include Mike Leigh’s High Hopes; Hear My Song, Peter Chelsom’s first feature film; The Human Bomb, directed by Anthony Page and No Holds Bard for Sky Arts. His writing credits include Saul Metzstein’s Guy X, Billy Zane’s directorial debut, Big Kiss and, as co-writer, the cult horror movie Bathory, Countess of Blood. He has also written for high profile TV events such as the Bafta film awards and Tributes to Elizabeth Taylor, Burt Bacharach & Hal David and Jerry Leiber & Mike Stoller. He was lead writer on the epic millennial 36 hour live TV broadcast, 2000 Today, for the BBC. He was a founder director of the Horror Laboratory Ltd. and is currently in post-production as producer of End of Term, a horror movie he also wrote, for release in 2019.

John is the recipient of over 60 New York Film Awards and Television, Chicago film awards, Drum Social Media awards, AMI, Loerie and Busca film, television and video industry awards.
He has produced, directed, shot and edited well over 250 film and video projects (United Kingdom, Africa, United States, South America, Europe, Far East and Middle East) from wildlife and actuality documentaries to commercials and corporate videos.
John brings to the company an immense wealth of technical and artistic experience in the development of films.
