Fashion On Screen Plc (“FOS Plc”) is a London-based film production company which is listed as a public company on the Vienna Stock Exchange. We have spent the last twelve months developing both our funding capacity and our management team and we are now about to go into production on our first movie. We are combining the traditional ethos of some of the great British film production companies of the past, focussing on quality, high-end production values and popular commercial appeal, with important contemporary values such as a commitment to diversity and a determination to work alongside a wide range of media partners. We intend in addition over the coming months and years to build our company through significant acquisitions within the media sector.

Our management team has a broad range of experience in film and TV creative development combined with a proven track record in capital funding and financial management.

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Nevern Johns is a businessman and entrepreneur with 30 years’ experience in the global marketing and licensing sectors. He established Devonshire Management, the first franchise greeting card distribution business in the UK, in the late 1980s, which grew to over 100 franchisees in the United Kingdom and seven Master Licences overseas. After selling the business, Nevern moved with his family to the United States where he established another publishing business, Appletree Inc, which operated successfully throughout the US and Canada. Having sold out his interest in the company he moved to Florida where he acted as an independent consultant for several years. After returning to the UK on a permanent basis he negotiated license agreements with a number of FMCG companies across Europe. He has a specialist knowledge and extensive hands-on experience of managing international contracts, and in addition brings to the company a lifelong appreciation of movies.

CHAIRMAN

M Barney Battles MA CA

Owner of over 40 SMEs across Europe, US and Australasia, Barney is a qualified chartered accountant with a specialism in digital media, fashion & luxury, recruitment, well-being and marketing communications. He is former Chairman of various PLC companies including Hot Tuna International PLC, Enables IT PLC and Nexus Management PLC. Barney is Managing Partner of The League of Angels Limited, an investor society across Europe offering access to capital for fast growth British based ventures. Co-patron of the Genesis Initiative, a cross party government lobbying group focusing on driving change to support SMEs across Europe.

FINANCE DIRECTOR

After completing his studies at the Financial Training Company in 2002, Khalid Napaul trained in an accountancy firm in Wimbledon for six years. He was a self-employed Chartered Accountant from 2009 and served as Finance Director for various industries (Publishing, Pharmaceutical, Petroleum and travel). He also advised several companies in Europe and Asia on investment potentials as well as new strategies and ventures. Over the years, he has also been involved in acquisition as well as setting up global financial strategies. Khalid set up his own Accountancy firm dealing with a wide range of clients from small to large organisations. He dealt with all aspects of the accounting requirement for these companies by preparing Statutory accounts, dealing with VAT investigations, Due Diligence and preparation of Corporation and Personal Tax. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants.

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR and COMPANY SECRETARY

John Cook is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Secretaries and has worked as founder or seed corn investor in SMEs all his life. Involved with Commercial Laundries from the early sixties, diversifying into the efficient use of Energy in England and overseas. He has worked in property investment and development covering all aspects from residential to industrial and retail. John has used his family farming background to help pioneer the use of deer velvet as a homeopathic medicine while farming in New Zealand and was the founding investor of Vet Cell, a research company engaged with the Royal Veterinary College to grow new tendons in horses. John’s career has covered: a camper van hire start-up in New Zealand, helping to pioneer the collection of stem cells from the umbilical cords of horses in Australia, assisting the New Zealand government on energy distribution, working with the Central Electricity Generating Board to define a British Standard for heat pumps, research into energy collection and storage in England, Australia and New Zealand.

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Film Producer Paul Tucker has worked in the feature film industry for over 40 years and has maintained offices at Shepperton Studios for 30 years. He is a Full Voting Member of BAFTA.

Paul was Head of European Production for Mel Gibson’s & Bruce Davey’s Icon Productions for 10 years, producing 10 features. He has worked for all the US Major Studios.

Major Credits include: 102 Dalmatians (Co-Producer), Braveheart (Production & Financial Controller), 101 Dalmatians (Production & Financial Controller), King Arthur(Associate Producer), Aliens (Production Controller), Hamlet (Production Controller), Fairytale (Executive Producer), An Ideal Husband (Co-Producer), four James Bond films, Superman 1 & 1VHoffaStar Wars.

Paul is one of the most respected names working in the film industry and we are most fortunate to have him as a board member of Fashion On Screen.
