FOS Plc intends to collaborate with the #5050Together campaign to introduce greater gender equality in the film industry.
More information on this initiative can be found on the campaign website here.
And the short campaign film can be seen here.
We intend that with our current slate, including Finding Clive, we will meet the criteria as set out by the campaign.
The campaign requires that new productions get four points in the following eight categories and, if they do so, they will be entitled to a 10% discount on services provided by a range of film industry ancillary companies.
It’s a point system (based on the Re-Frame program started by WIF Los Angeles and The Sundance institute) where production companies need to get at least 4 points within 8 categories.
A company receives 1 point if anyone in those categories is a woman, or 2 points if that woman is also a person of color and/or identifies as LGBTQIA+.
